The inaugural SOAR FOR VETERANS cycling event celebrates our nation’s veterans and raises funds to support the Mid-Shore Recovering Veterans Group (MSRVG). Cyclists participate on June 2nd when the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is at VFW Post 5118 in Easton, MD from May 31st through June 6th. The traveling memorial is three hundred feet long, a 3/5 replica of the original monument in Washington DC and contains the names of all the casualties from the war in Vietnam. The ride will include a rest stop at the site so all riders will have the opportunity to visit and pay their respects.
Please join us in support of our Eastern Shore veterans. By providing wheelchairs, handicap ramps and transportation, to also engaging veterans in positive extracurricular activities, MSVRG is a lifeline for veterans needing support that traditional funding sources can’t provide. 100% of dollars raised by MSVRG go directly to support veterans through the Mid-Shore Community Foundation.
SOAR FOR VETERANS is a fully supported cycling event with your safety and fun in mind. Riders can expect well marked routes, easy to follow cue sheets, SAG support, with great post ride food and beverages after their ride.
